NSW Government grants available to Netball community

The NSW Government has recently opened applications for their $4.5 million Local Sport Grant Program, which is now available to Clubs and Associations throughout the State.

The Local Sport Grant Program aims to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport and active recreation. Sport and active recreation deliver many personal and community benefits, as well as contribute to a range of government priorities including tackling childhood obesity and building safer communities.

Clubs and Associations can apply for grants of up to $20,000 for project that help support and promote Sport Development, Community Sports Events, Sport Access and/or Facility Development.

Local Sport Grant Program applications are NOW OPEN, and will close on Friday 6 October 2017.

Over 40 NSW Netball Clubs and Associations were successful in their bids during the last round of the Local Sport Grant Program, assisting with projects ranging from lighting upgrades to coach development workshops.

The maximum grant amounts available are:

  • Sport Development | $2,000
    Coaching/Officials training courses, workshops, communication projects, etc.
  • Community Sport Events | $5,000
    Come and Try Days, celebration events, etc.
  • Sport Access | $5,000
    Subsidise uniform costs, provide travel support, etc.
  • Facility Development | $20,000
    Small facility upgrades or installations, such as lighting etc.
