Margaret honoured with namesake recognition

After successfully steering Blue Mountains to claiming the “double” in the 2015 DOOLEYS State League, Margaret Murrin was presented with the 2015 Margaret Corbett OAM State League Coach of the Year Award at the 2015 Netball NSW State Dinner on Saturday 14 November.

After finishing the regular season Minor Premiers, Margaret’s Blue Mountains’ Division 4 side claimed the 2015 title after defeating Campbelltown by an impressive 20 goals.

Margaret paid homage to her players when NetballNSWTV caught up with her following the on-stage presentation from the legend herself, Marg Corbett OAM.

“I enjoy coaching, and I’m appreciative of the award from Netball NSW and also the support and encouragement from my Association,” Margaret said.

“To be honest, to be a coach of such amazing players that also teach me, I think the award is partly theirs as well.”
