NSW coaches targeted for development at national camps

In wonderful news for Netball NSW, six of our coaches have been selected to take part in the 2016 Netball Australia Targeted Coach Program.

The Program provides development opportunities for identified coaches within national programs and national camps and aims to provide them with continued development and learning under the guidance of experienced national coaches.

Under the program the selected coaches will receive mentoring support at national camps and competitions, formal performance evaluation and feedback, assistance with individual coach development plans and additional mentor support in their own coaching environment.

There are five camps which targeted coaches can be called into; 17/U National Development Camp, 19/U National Squad Camp, 20/U Squad Specialist Camp and International Matches, Fast 5 & Emerging Talent Camp and Tall Player Specialist Camp.

“We at Netball NSW are thrilled to see six of our talented coaches selected to be involved within the Netball Australia Targeted Coach Program for 2016,” Anna Longman, General Manager of High Performance at Netball NSW, said.

“The program provides various opportunities across the national programs for coaches to be involved with both training camps and competition environments – all invaluable experiences to work with Nationally Identified athletes, coaches and support staff.

“We are extremely proud of the six coaches selected to be involved in 2016 and we know that the national programs will benefit from their involvement and on the flip side we look forward to the coaches returning from the National environment and benefiting the NSW programs with their learnings and experience.”
