PRESIDENT’S DINNER RETURNS IN 2014

The President’s Dinner returns in 2014! Hosted by Netball NSW President Wendy Archer AM, those gathered will toast some of the longest serving volunteers in our community.

The event, to be held on Saturday 7 June at the Western Suburbs Leagues Club in Campbelltown, coincides with the first day of the 2014 State Championships, with netball friends from far and wide invited to join in a night of celebration.

STATE CHAMPS NEXT WEEKEND
The 2014 Netball NSW State Championships are fast approaching! Over the June long weekend, 131 teams representing 71 Associations will converge on Campbelltown District Netball Association (17/U, 21/U and Open Divisions) and Camden & District Netball Association (Masters divisions).

Grafton Netball Association have been crowned Far North Coast Regional State League Champions for the third consecutive year after defeating Ballina 57-37 in the 2014 Grand Final.

NSW COACHES GOING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH 

New South Wales coaches continue to tick-off goals on their development pathway with nine achieving their Advanced Coaching Accreditation in the last six months.This is an incredible statistic considering previous to this season since 2010 there have only been five coaches to achieve their Advanced certificate, and there are some notable names amongst the new list of achievers.

GET READY TO GO CRAZY WITH TKCP!This Saturday 31 May, The Kids’ Cancer Project will celebrate their Official Netball Charity Day and Netball NSW is asking our community to get involved in the FUN whilst raising vital funds to help cure childhood cancers.Netball NSW staff joined in the ‘crazy’ fun early with a Crazy Hair & Sock Morning Tea today to help raise funds for our Official Charity Partner. There is still time to get your Club or Association involved in this fun event for a good cause.

THOMAS TURNER NAMED YOUNG OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR

Parramatta Auburn umpire Thomas Turner was named Young Official of the Year at the 2014 Community Sports Volunteer Awards on Friday 16 May at NSW Parliament House.

  SCHOOLS CUP PACE PICKS UP
The pace is picking up in the 2014 Netball NSW Schools Cup… the South Coast Regional Finalists have been decided following the conclusion of their Local Days while Northern Inland gets their first phase of competition underway today in Narrabri.
