Division 5-8 Semi Finals will be played this weekend, before Division 2-4 contest their first Finals games throughout next week.

DIVISION 2 – Tuesday 2 September
Eastwood Ryde have been crowned Minor Premiers after going through the regular season undefeated, with just one draw marring their perfect record. They head into the Major Semi Final against Ku-ring-gai, with the winner earning a week’s rest and a place in the 2014 title decider.

The other side will have a second chance at securing a Grand Final spot when they play the winner of the Minor Semi Final between third-placed Sutherland Shire and fourth-placed Bankstown City. Action begins from 7pm, so come along and cheer your favourite team!

DIVISION 3 – Monday 1 September
Eastwood Ryde and Ku-ring-gai will also be going head-to-head in the Division 3 sudden-death Semi Final after they finished fourth and third, respectively. Ku-ring-gai took honours first earlier in the season with a 10-goal victory, however Eastwood Ryde got one back with a one-goal victory in Round 16.

Ladder leaders St George will meet Northern Suburbs in the Major Semi Final. Only goal differential separated the two sides at the end of the regular rounds, setting up an exciting Semi Finals showdown.

DIVISION 4 – Thursday 4 September
While the final round of Division 4 will be played tonight, Thursday 28 August, the top four teams are all but assured of their place in the Finals. Despite results tonight, Illawarra has taken out the Minor Premiership with an eight-point gap over second-placed Northern Suburbs on the ladder.

Third-placed Parramatta Auburn could catch up to Norths if results go their way tonight, which would leave the battle for second place and a spot in the Major Semi Final down to goal differential. Fourth-placed Liverpool City has two points and a healthy goals differential advantage over fifth-placed City of Sydney/Sydney Uni which should seal their spot in the Minor Semi Final if the pair end the preliminary rounds on equal points.

DIVISION 5 – Saturday 30 August
Division 5 will close Saturday’s Semi Finals action, with both games being contested at 4:30pm. Ladder leaders Blue Mountains will take on Bankstown City, with both sides looking to secure their spot in the 2014 decider. City of Sydney/Sydney Uni and Hills District will meet in the Minor Semi Final, with the winner keeping their Finals hopes alive.

Looking back at the season, each of the Semi Finalists have enjoyed wins over the other throughout the regular rounds, meaning anything could happen this weekend when the teams take the court.

DIVISION 6 – Saturday 30 August
Semi Finals will be played at 3pm, with Illawarra taking on Blacktown City in the Major Semi Final, with both sides enjoying a win over the other so far this season. Illawarra struck first with a 12-goal victory in Round 9, before Blacktown City got one back with a six-goal win in the final round last weekend.

Ku-ring-gai and Randwick will go head-to-head in the sudden death Minor Semi Final, with both teams looking to keep their title hopes alive with a win to advance to the Preliminary Final.

DIVISION 7 – Saturday 30 August Campbelltown finished four points clear atop the ladder to claim the Minor Premiership, and will meet City of Sydney/Sydney Uni in the Major Semi Final to play for a spot in the Grand Final. The results of the preliminary round matches between the two teams were split, with Campbelltown striking first before CSNA/Syd Uni took honours in their second match-up.

Blue Mountains and Inner Western Suburbs have a chance at continuing their 2014 Finals hopes when they meet in the Minor Semi Final. The winner will advance to the Preliminary Final, while the other’s season will come to an end.

DIVISION 8 – Saturday 30 August Central Coast finished the regular season undefeated and head into the Major Semi Final against Eastwood Ryde, searching to secure the first Grand Final position. Third-placed Bankstown City and fourth-placed Liverpool City will meet in the sudden-death Minor Semi Final; both games will open Finals action this weekend at 12pm.

So make sure you come down to the Anne Clark Centre over the next few weeks, starting this Saturday, to cheer on some amazing NSW netball talent in action!
