About the netball NSW NetEd Program
The Netball NSW NetEd program is a great educational resource that offers the opportunity for individuals to enhance their personal development and maximise their potential. The program is supports the existing NCAS framework in three-hour blocks of educational workshops. They are designed for both aspiring or experienced coaches and officials looking to enhance their understanding and knowledge of the principles of Netball officiating and coaching. Please check with your associations which of the below workshop will be available in your region:
Coaches on Court
There are six workshops available; the following are open to all coaches:
What, Why and How: Game Day Preparation, Game Plan, Bench Protocol, Match Tactics, Game Analysis
Importance of a warm up and cool down: Content – Skills included in a warm up, Catering to different levels
Channels making sure the court is balanced: practical session (space awareness and keeping the court balanced)
Positioning on court: Building team cohesion and team strategies when attacking and defending.
Timing and Reading the Play: The importance of Reading the Play and Timing in developing thinking players
Coach Reflection and Analysis: How can I be a better coach?
