The 21 & Under National Championships are being held at the State Netball Centre, Mt. Gravatt, Queensland from the 1st to 6th October 2007.

Team Bio: NSW will be looking for a strong performance in 2007 with a talented and experienced team made up entirely of Commonwealth Bank Trophy team members. After finishing third in last year’s Championships the NSW team will be looking to improve on this performance and come away with the trophy.

Boasting five 2007 Australian 21/U Squad Members; Leah Shoard, Samantha May, Joanne Sutton, Alex Harding and Kimberlee Green, who is also a member of the 2007 Australian Open Squad, NSW is definitely capable of taking out the Championship.

Key players to watch for in 2007 are Kimberlee Green who works tirelessly and consistently through mid-court, Maryanne Hamilton whose tight circle defence along with Adelaide Johnson’s height are a force to be reckoned with in the defensive circle.

With such a vast array of talented and skilled player’s; including seven players returning from the 2006 21U team, Coach Lisa Beehag will be hoping to capitalise on the teams elite training and experience. NSW has every chance of going all the way in 2007.

  • Six  Swifts players
  • Four Jaegers players
  • Two AIS Darters players
