Neita Matthews OAM – Patron of Netball NSW (1987 – )
Neita has an impressive list of achievements which is highlighted by Life Memberships of Eastwood Ryde Netball Association (1977) and Netball NSW (1980), Patron of Netball NSW (1987 – 2006), recipient of the Australian Sports Medal (2000) and Centenary Medal for service to the community through amateur sport (2003), Anne Clark Award for services to netball (2004) and the Order of Australia Medal on the 2007 Australia Day Honours List. She was inducted into the Netball NSW Hall of Fame as a General classification member at the 2011 Netball NSW State Dinner.

Irene Booth* (nee Marshall) – Patron of Netball NSW (1978-1979)
Irene Booth was a teacher at Christ Church Cathedral in Newcastle and was married to Kenneth Booth who held the positions of Minister of Sport and Recreation (1976-1981), Minister of Tourism (1976-1981) and Treasurer of NSW 1981-1988.

Anne Clark BEM* – Patron of Netball NSW (1980-1983)

The name Anne Clark is synonymous with netball in NSW. Anne Clark was awarded her all Australia Umpires badge in 1931 and she umpired at most world tournaments from 1938 until 1975. She was Netball NSW President from 1950–1978 and in 1968 she was awarded life membership. In recognition of her services to netball Anne was awarded the British Empire Medal in 1975.

Faye LoPo’ AM – Patron of Netball NSW (2002-2012)

The Hon. Faye Lo Po’ AM retired in 2003 after a distinguished public career in NSW politics, the same year she became a patron of Netball NSW. A long time member of the Australian Labor Party, she served in local government (on the Penrith City Council) before winning the seat of Penrith in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly in 1991. Faye Lo Po’ was also heavily involved in local politics in the 1970s and 80s, culminating in a term as Mayor of the Penrith City Council in 1990-1991. She was Alderman of Prospect Electricity (1980-1987, 1991-1992) serving as Chair. From 1986-1987. She was Chair of the NSW Women’s Advisory Council, a Member of the Metropolitan Waste Disposal Authority, Chair of the NSW Board of Adult Education and Patron of various groups. She was appointed an AM in 1984.

Lady Susan Martin – Patron of Netball NSW (1989 – 1990)

Lady Susan Martin is Ambassador and Head of the Women’s Committee of the Sir David Martin Foundation (helping young homeless teenagers). Lady Martin carries on the splendid work as the Foundation’s First Lady. She is the guest speaker at a wide variety of occasions. She works extremely hard to continue the legacy of Sir David, who lived his life on the virtues of service to his country; courage, fortitude and caring for those who are disadvantaged. Lady Martin also leads the Foundation’s Women’s Committee who host regular fundraising events for the Foundation.
