NETBALL NSW CONFERENCE 2016

Netball NSW is delighted to announce it will conduct its highly successful Biennial Conference on the weekend of 20 & 21 February at Netball Central in 2016.

The Netball NSW Biennial Conference is all about education, learning and development opportunities for members of our netball family who wish to develop their skills and has been designed to cater for all levels of netball coaches, umpires, officials, administrators and supporters.

NORTHERN INLAND CHAMPIONS CROWNED

Upon their return to Northern Inland Regional State League this year, Quirindi have claimed the Division 1 title, going through the 2015 competition undefeated. Tamworth took home the Division 2 title.

RECORD HAUL FOR CRAZY HAIR & SOCK DAY

The New South Wales netball community continues to be incredibly generous in their support of The Kids’ Cancer Project, with this year’s Crazy Hair & Sock Day raising more than $45,000 towards research into childhood cancers, with two lucky Associations’ efforts being particularly recognised by the charity.

GOSFORD UMPIRE RECEIVES ACCOLADE

Gosford Netball Association umpire Jordan Kiss was recognised for her umpiring efforts on Friday 21 August when the 16-year-old took home the Young Official of the Year title at the 2015 Sport NSW Community Sports Awards.

  NSW PREMIER TO HOST DIAMONDS VICTORY PARADE

New South Wales netball fans can celebrate the Australian Diamonds’ Netball World Cup victory in person after Netball Australia confirmed the NSW Premier, the Honourable Mike Baird MP, will host a public reception to celebrate the newly crowned world champions this Wednesday 2 September from 1:00pm (AEST) at Martin Place, Sydney.

SELINA GILSENAN INDUCTED INTO NSW HALL OF CHAMPIONS

Last week long-time NSW representative and World Champion Selina Gilsenan was unveiled as one of five athletes inducted into the NSW Hall of Champions in 2015, joining her Sydney Swifts Premiership teammates Liz Ellis AM and Alison Broadbent.
