NSW 21/U TEAM ON A ROLL AT NATIONALS

The NSW 21/U Team opened their 2015 Nationals campaign with strong wins over Tasmania and Victoria yesterday (10 March). They made it three wins from three games after overcoming a tough ACT this morning, and will close Day 2 with a battle against hosts Queensland.

Regional State League is back in action with 2015 competitions already underway in the (GrainCorp Regional State League) West/Central West and Hunter regions! Far North Coast joins the action with their opening day of competition this Sunday 15 March.

TEAM WHITE TICKING BOXES AT ALL LEVELS

Thirty-five regional and metropolitan-based umpires were put through their paces at Netball Central on the weekend for the Netball NSW Umpires C Camp.

Thanks to Netball Australia and the Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 Legacy Program, over 600 Associations across Australia were sent the new Community Umpire Toolkit – a contemporary umpiring resource designed to further support the development of beginner umpires at the grassroots level.

The Netball NSW Schools Cup attracts Government, Catholic and Independent school teams from around NSW in five divisions with 2015 seeing the introduction of both a competition and non-competition category.

GO CRAZY FOR A GOOD CAUSE IN MAY

This year’s Crazy Hair & Sock Day for Netball NSW Official Charity Partner The Kids’ Cancer Project (TKCP) is Saturday 23 May and Netball NSW is encouraging our community to once again join in the festivities by raising money from your crazy fundraising ideas to assist TKCP in their fight to cure childhood cancer.

Get involved by hosting a ‘crazy hair’ or ‘crazy sock’ day; all participating Associations will go in the draw to win a signed NSW Swifts match dress!

SWIFTS RETURN HOME AFTER BACK-TO-BACK VICTORIES

The NSW Swifts will play their first home game of the 2015 ANZ Championship this Sunday 15 March, when they host the QLD Firebirds from 12:18pm AEDST in front of a packed Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre.

They come into the game after back-to-back wins in New Zealand; over Southern Steel in Round 1, and WBOP Magic in Round 2. Standing room tickets only remain for the game and will be available at the door – find out more.

  

 

 

 

 

  

NETBALL AUSTRALIA UNVEILS HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPETITION REFORMSNetball Australia has unveiled a range of reforms they will implement in their High Performance competition pathway.

Two of the key areas identified include changes to the Australian Netball League in 2016 which would see the league become more closely aligned with the ANZ Championship, plus investigating the most effective way forward for the national underage championships.
