SWIFTS TREAT FANS TO CLASSY PERFORMANCE
The Swifts began the week in emphatic form with their most complete performance so far in 2014, overcoming the Central Pulse 63-45 at Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre on Monday night, 31 March.

WHAT THEY SAID
Playing against her old side, Caitlin Thwaites put on a stellar performance, shooting 30 goals at 83 per cent, on her way to being named MVP.  Despite being named MVP for the first time this season, the 27-year-old shooter still thinks there’s room for improvement:

“I’m pretty happy; I definitely think it could have gone to anyone in the Swifts tonight – everyone did a great job.  There’s definitely room for improvement in all areas, especially some of those concentration lapses in my shooting, but I’ll work on that and towards putting together a full four quarter performance.”

IN THE ZONE
Sharni Layton continues to offer fans an insight into her world through her ‘In the Zone’ blog, this week tackling the subject of growing the ANZ Championships into a world conquering sports league!

Layton explains with the competition continually getting better, matches played out in even tighter contests, and netballers behaving more and more like professional athletes (just look at their training schedule!) it’s inevitable that the trans-Tasman competition will continue to be the best netball league in the world but she wants to take it to the next level.
