Samsung Premier League returns in 2017

Netball NSW’s premier elite competition, Samsung Premier League, will return again in 2017 after an impressive debut season.

More than 9,000 in-venue spectators and 40,000 live streaming viewers witness the inaugural Premier League season, which saw Sutherland Stingrays (Opens) and Panthers (Under 20s) crowned 2016 Champions.

While action won’t officially begin until Round 1 commences on Wednesday 24 May, NSW netball fans will have an early opportunity to see the teams in pre-season action; starting with a Super Saturday on 18 March.

Super Saturday is a pre-season friendly competition featuring seven of the eight Premier League Clubs; Central Coast Heart, ERNA Hawks, GWS Fury, Manly Warringah Sapphires, North Shore United, Panthers and Sutherland Stingrays.

Both Opens and Under 20s games will be played at the home of Netball NSW, Genea Netball Centre, starting at 1:30pm, with each team playing four games each across the afternoon and evening.

In further good news for fans, an exclusive special is on offer for Super Saturday where spectators will receive FREE ENTRY from 12:30pm – what’s better than an action packed free Saturday afternoon at the netty!

Super Saturday will be followed by the official pre-season competition, which will run for four weeks starting Wednesday 5 April; please note this will be a ticketed event.
