Netball NSW Schools Cup State Finalists decided

The schools to contest the 2014 Netball NSW Schools Cup State Final have been revealed following the concluding two Regional Finals Days last week.

Winners of the Hunter and Sydney Metropolitan Regional Finals Days this week will now join the winners from Northern Inland, West/Central West, North Coast, South Coast, Far North Coast and Riverina at the Anne Clark Centre on Tuesday 16 September, 2014 for the competition finale.

Teams will compete across three divisions – Years 5/6 Mixed, Years 7/8 Girls and Years 7/8 Boys for the title of 2014 Netball NSW Schools Cup State Champion.

St Pauls Primary School, representing the Riverina in the Year 5/6 Division, is the only school to come into the big day with Netball NSW Schools Cup State Final experience, after also topping their regional competition in 2013.

The Hunter Regional Finals Day was held on Tuesday (12 August) with St Mary’s Primary School (Year 5/6 Mixed), Wadalba Community School (Year 7/8 Girls) and St Joseph’s High School Aberdeen (Year 7/8 Boys) advancing to the State Final.

Our Lady of the Way [Emu Plains] (Year 5/6 Mixed), The Hills Sports High School, (Year 7/8 Girls) and Xavier College [Llandilo] (Year 7/8 Boys) will return to the Anne Clark Centre for the State Final after winning their respective divisions in the Sydney Metropolitan Regional Finals Day at the same venue on Thursday (14 August).

After the success of its inaugural competition in 2013, the Netball NSW Schools Cup is even bigger in 2014 and proudly supported by our Official Charity Partner The Kids’ Cancer Project.

The competition attracts Government, Catholic and Independent school teams from around the State to participate in two age groups – Years 5/6 & Years 7/8 – with this season seeing the introduction of both a girls and boys secondary school division.

Congratulations to all the 2014 Netball NSW Schools Cup Regional Winners listed below, and to all who have participated this year. A special thank you to the schools, teachers, parents, umpires and volunteers for their assistance in making the Schools Cup such a success.
