“We’re very excited to reach the final day of the Northern Inland Regional State League competitions and to find out who our 2015 Champions will be,” Netball NSW Regional Coordinator Monique Smith said.
“Certainly Quirindi and Tamworth have been stand-outs in Division 1 and 2, respectively, however we’ve seen some great contests throughout the season and as the old saying goes ‘anything can happen come Finals’.
“I’d like to wish all our Finalists the very best for this weekend, and also take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in this year’s Regional State League.
“I hope to see a healthy crowd come out and support the teams this weekend and create an exciting atmosphere for our final day,” Smith concluded.
Some other great news to come out of Day 3 action of Northern Inland Regional State League was the successful testing of two umpires by Netball NSW Waratah Service Award recipient Kate Thornborough.
Congratulations to Danny Dalton from Tamworth Netball Association and Kerrie Kennedy from Inverell Netball Association, with both umpires receiving their National B Badge and National C Badge, respectively.
Netball NSW coaching representative Nardia Macdonald was also on-hand throughout the day to provide mentoring to coaches involved in the competition.
