Regional State League action this weekend

Two more NSW regions will get their 2015 Regional State League competitions underway this weekend, with South Coast playing tomorrow, Saturday 18 April, at Goulburn Netball Association whilst North Coast will begin on Sunday 19 April at Hastings Valley Netball Association.

South Coast Regional State League
Two Divisions will contest the 2015 competition – the senior Opens Division and 17/U Division, which will be split into two Pools before crossing over for the Finals.

Day 1 hosts Goulburn will have two teams participate in the Opens Division this season (Opens and 19/U side) and will be joined by Eurobodalla, Illawarra and Sapphire Coast.  In the 17/U Division Ulladulla, Eurobodalla, Sapphire Coast and Queanbeyan will contest Pool A, whilst Wollondilly, Illawarra, Southern Highlands and Kiama are in Pool B.

The Opens Division competitors will contest 10 rounds during the opening day’s play, whilst each pool in the 17/U Division will play six rounds, before the teams turn their attentions to the Finals Series being contested in the afternoon.

North Coast Regional State League
Just one Division will contest the North Coast Regional State League this season, with seven teams participating in 2015 from Nambucca Valley, Macleay, Woolgoolga and Taree, with Nambucca Valley fielding three teams – Opens, 35s and 40s.

Held over two days at Hastings Valley and Nambucca Valley (Sunday 3 May), the teams will contest seven rounds during the opening day’s play before returning to the action two weeks later for the final seven rounds.

After the regular rounds are completed North Coast Regional State League will head into the Finals Series on Sunday 17 May to decide the 2015 Champions.
