Sporting Schools Funding now includes Years 7/8

Here at Netball NSW, we understand life is busy for school teachers.  Which is why our Sports Development Team want to make Physical Education as easy as possible, whilst also getting kids out enjoying sport.

The Sporting Schools initiative was introduced by the Australian Sports Commission in 2015. This expansion aims to further engage more children in sport-based activity within the primary and secondary school environment.

Secondary schools can apply for funding each term to deliver sports programs before, during, and after school hours using one of the initiative NSO partners, such as Netball NSW. The selection of secondary schools is based on meeting the program goals and program parameters in the grant application because there are limited places.

2018 Term One funding applications open Monday 13 November via the Sporting Schools Website HERE. To apply schools much first be registered on the Sporting Schools website which can be done at the beginning of the online process. Applications close on 1st of December so be quick to ensure your school starts 2018 with fun.

Netball Australia offers two programs for schools to implement. NetSetGO is the junior entry netball program and is perfect for Sporting Schools.
