The Netball NSW Waratahs finished Runners-Up, after going down to the undefeated Champions Victorian Fury, 56-51, in the 2013 Australian Netball League Grand Final in August.
The NNSW Waratahs ended the regular season with eight wins and three losses, scoring 590 goals at 80 per cent accuracy. After finishing the rounds in third place, they defeated second-placed Victorian Flames by a single goal, 50-49, to advance to the decider, where they were narrowly beaten by Victorian Fury for the title.
Captain Samantha May summed up the NNSW Waratahs 2013 season in one sentence: “We brought the intensity and we worked hard as a unit and built with every game. I couldn’t be prouder of my teammates and it’s a great achievement finishing Runners-Up.”
