With the Constellation Cup and Fast5 Netball World Series the only events remaining on the international calendar in 2017, Netball Australia wishes to congratulate Helen George (NSW), Marc Henning and Clare McCabe (NSW) on their International Umpire Award endorsement this year.
The International Umpire Award (IUA) was introduced by the INF as an assessment to standardise the level of umpiring at an international level.
All umpires who have achieved their IUA are required to be endorsed every four years through a practical umpire’s assessment, conducted by the INF to ensure they are maintaining their international standard. This endorsement is assessed on a match of a required standard by the INF appointed International Testing Panel.
Netball Australia is proud that of the 39 umpires currently holding an IUA, ten are Australian:
Michelle Phippard (NSW)
Helen George (NSW)
Rachael Ayre (NSW)
Tara Warner (NSW)
Clare McCabe (NSW)
Jemma Carlton (NSW)
