The 2016 SAMSUNG State Championships have drawn to a close, bringing to an end three days of action at both Newcastle and Charlestown Netball Associations.

Following the conclusion of the final round, the 2016 State Champions have been revealed after 117 teams representing 72 Associations travelled near and far from across NSW to participate in this year’s tournament.

Netball NSW would like to congratulate to the following winners, including Newcastle Netball Association who take home the Pat Weston OAM Country Championship trophy after finishing as the highest placed regional Association (outside Sydney Metro) in the Open Championship division.

Winner: Blue Mountains
Runners-Up: Mudgee District

21/U Championship
Winner: Newcastle
Runners-Up: Penrith District

17/U Championship
Winner: Manly Warringah

Winner: Lismore
Runners-Up: Great Lakes

Winner: Tamworth
Runners-Up: Macleay
