Hawkins to guide 2013 NSWIS Program

Netball NSW is pleased to announce that Netball NSW High Performance Coach Sue Hawkins will be heading up the 2013 NSWIS Netball Program, and taking this critical program forward NSW builds upon its’ hugely exciting pool of talent across the state.

In line with the developments and changes to the NSWIS Netball program for 2013 – 2016, (a four year inclusion program), Netball NSW CEO Carolyn Campbell was pleased to confirm that 2012 NSW Swifts High Performance and Netball NSW Waratahs ANL Team Coach Sue Hawkins will be taking on the role of NSWIS Senior Coach (Netball Programs).

“Sue will be a huge asset to our NSWIS program, one which is already producing incredible athletes and rising stars of the ANZ Championship, more future stars of the Australian Diamonds… and maybe even Diamonds that could compete at the 2015 Sydney World Championships to be played in Sydney Olympic Park” said Netball NSW CEO Carolyn Campbell.

“Sue will play a critical role in our vision for our emerging netballers in NSW and we are really excited by the possibilities of where the program can develop under her guidance.”

“Sue has a wealth of knowledge, experience, and understanding of our emerging athletes in NSW which is really exciting for the future”.

As Senior Coach of the NSWIS program, Hawkins will be working with the NSWIS Silver Scholarship Athletes, EAP (Emerging Athlete Program), ETS (Elite Talent Squad), coach mentor for the 17U/19U/21U State Teams and providing mentoring for the Regional Academy coaches across New South Wales.
