Netball NSW umpire selected for Emerging Talent Program

Netball NSW umpire Emma Davey, who hails from Eastwood Ryde Netball Association, has been selected for the 2016/2017 Emerging Talent Umpire Program.

The program aims to develop umpires who show dedication to expanding their umpiring knowledge and skills and provide them with a pathway to umpiring elite netball matches.

The Emerging Talent Umpire Program provides up-and-coming umpires with coaching and mentoring from some of Australia’s most accomplished and knowledgeable umpires.

ANZ Championship umpires Michelle Phippard, as coach, and Josh Bowring, as assistant coach, will provide their knowledge and experience to the program.

Emma is one of seven umpires selected for the high performance program on the basis of her outstanding performance at the 21/U National Championships recently held in Tasmania.

As part of the program, Emma will be involved in the Australian Netball League season and will also attend Netball Australia’s Centre of Excellent camp and be involved in the 20/U international series between Australia, England and New Zealand in Canberra in August.

Congratulations Emma.
