Netball World Cup 2015 Sydney has officially launched the NWC2015 Volunteer Program. With approximately 700 roles available, the application process is being rolled out in two waves.
The first wave is for Competition Specific Volunteer roles, these are positions for people with a high level of netball event experience.
The second wave is for General Volunteer Roles. These positions don’t necessarily need any prior netball event experience and open for applications on Thursday, August 7th 2014.
For Netball World Cup 2015 CEO Marne Fechner, the launch of the Volunteer Program is an important part of the journey to make NWC2015 Sydney, the best netball event ever staged.
“The launch of the Volunteers Program is great opportunity to recognise the people that will make this event so special,” Fechner said. “Without volunteers, sport in Australia could not survive. Every week in communities across Australia, thousands of volunteers bring netball to life and Netball World Cup will be no different. Volunteers will be central to the event’s success.
“So we are calling on all the volunteer heroes out there to join the NWC2015 team and help us make this a once-in-a-generation event!
“We anticipate that there will be a great deal of interest in becoming part of the team and we are working hard to ensure there is a bib for everyone at NWC2015.”
