Samsung Premier League gears up for round two

BarTV Camera shot - Samsung Premier League Round OneAfter a fantastic first week of action at Netball Central the 2016 Samsung Premier League will be looking to heat up again this Wednesday 27 April as teams prepare for round two.

Netball NSW announced the introduction of the Samsung Premier League in 2015; a new competition to showcase the best current and emerging talent within NSW. Its purpose is to offer a local, elite platform for players, coaches, officials and administrators, and provide bridging opportunities in to the Australian Netball League and subsequent ANZ Championship.

In conjunction with BarTV, Netball NSW would like to remind supporters we will be live streaming two games every week – an Opens game and an Under 20s match – played on Netball Central’s Show Court. The live action starts promptly at 7:00pm via the Live Games tab on the competition website; www.samsungpremierleague.com.au.

The Sutherland Stingrays proved to be the hottest franchise on court last week; their Opens side sit atop their respective ladder after high scoring with an impressive 61 goals in Round 1, which was 11 more goals than their closest rivals, the Panthers. Meanwhile their younger counterparts finished fast to set the largest winning margin (12 goals) in the Under 20s age-group.

This week netball fans can watch the Manly Warringah Sapphires and North Shore United Under 20s sides go head-to-head at 7pm via BartTV’s live streaming, before the Opens teams clash for our second live match at 8:40pm.

Alternatively, you can join us at Netball Central to see all eight matches live in action – head to our Ticketing page for more information.
