There is just one more sleep until the 2014 Netball NSW State Age Championships! Illawarra District and Campbelltown District Netball Associations will co-host the 46th State Age Championships across three days of exciting netball, starting tomorrow morning, Saturday 28 June, with the Parade of Districts.
More than 3,300 players will run out for 306 teams across the weekend, representing 90 Associations from across the State.
They will play a total of 2,812 games before the Winners will be presented their 2014 Champions trophy on Monday 30 June.
Our Australian Capital Territory neighbours Tuggeranong will join us as an invitational Association, contesting in the 15/U and 14/U Division Two competitions. However as an invitational side, Tuggeranong will be unable to take home the trophy but will provide tough competition for the NSW based teams across the weekend.
Along with the 3,000-plus athletes to take the court, they will have an army of supporters with them including more than 600 coaching staff, managers and primary carers, as well as their parents, siblings, family and friends to cheer them on!
Netball NSW will keep you up-to-date with photos and results at the end of the day*, so make sure you follow our social media channels to keep your finger on the State Championships pulse …
