Sun setting on 2012 NID

We are at the business end of our twilight tournament, with the final round of the 2012 Court Craft Plexipave Night Interdistrict competition being contested next Wednesday 5 December.

Six titles are still up for grabs in the 2012 Court Craft Plexipave Night Interdistrict competition with one round to play. The tight contest sets up an exciting final round next Wednesday when the winners of the round-robin twilight competition will be crowned. Below we take a look at each division as the time to crown 2012 NID champions draws closer.

DIVISION ONE
Sutherland Shire are set to take home the Division One title, sitting atop the ladder undefeated and four points clear of second place Manly-Warringah.  Manly sits four points clear of third, with Illawarra and Northern Suburbs close behind.
Final Round Wed 5 Dec @ 7.00pm:
Sutherland Shire v  Illawarra; Northern Suburbs v Penrith; Manly-Warringah v Bankstown City

DIVISION TWO
The top two positions have beendetermined on points, with Liverpool City champions followed by Inner Western Suburbs as Runners-Up.  However, outcomes of the final round matches will determine the division’s final placings and there could be some movement.

Manly-Warringah v Eastwood Ryde; Inner Western Suburbs v Liverpool City; Hills District v Blacktown City

DIVISION THREE
The Division Three title will be decided in the final round, with Randwick meeting Sutherland Shire in a top-of-the-table clash and third-placed Hills District taking on fourth-placed Parramatta Auburn in hot contests.  The top five teams are within a single point with little separating first-place Randwick and second-place Sutherland Shire on goals for/against.

Randwick v Sutherland Shire; Hills District v Parramatta Auburn; Ku-ring-gai v Eastwood Ryde; Baulkham Hills v Blue Mountains; Penrith BYE

DIVISION FOUR
Manly-Warringah sit atop the ladder with no losses and one draw (against second-placed Kuring-Gai) from their nine matches..  The results of two matches will determine who will finish as division Runners-Up, with one point separating Ku-ring-gai from Liverpool City in third position.

Sutherland Shire v Ku-ring-gai; Manly-Warringah v Parramatta Auburn; Liverpool City v Baulkham Hills

DIVISION FIVE
Illawarra will take home the Division Five title as they sit six points clear at the top of the ladder in Division Five.  However, the final round will determine who finishes Runners-Up with three teams on equal points; Gosford, Liverpool City and Campbelltown.  Final Round Wed 5 Dec @ 7.00pm:
Illawarra v Gosford; Liverpool City v Campbelltown; Baulkham Hills v Hills District; Randwick v Inner Western Suburbs; Eastwood Ryde BYE

DIVISION SIX
The contest for the Division Six title rests between two neighbouring ‘cities’ – Hawkesbury City and Blacktown City, playing Illawarra and Penrith respectively. This division could be a nail-biter depending upon wins/losses and goal percentages.

Penrith v Blacktown City; Hawkesbury City v Illawarra; Fairfield City v Bankstown City

DIVISION SEVEN
In the same vein as Division Six, Blue Mountains can secure the title with a win against Fairfield City. Camden is just two points behind in second place.  Manly-Warringah and Baulkham Hills lead the chasers.

Fairfield City v Blue Mountains; Hawkesbury City v Manly-Warringah; Camden v Baulkham Hills

DIVISION EIGHT
Hills District sits atop the ladder two points clear of Eastwood Ryde; however, they must defeat third-place Ku-ring-gai in their final match to cement their title chances.

Parramatta Auburn v Eastwood Ryde; Hills District v Ku-ring-gai; Fairfield City v Bankstown City

DIVISION NINE
Liverpool City enters the final round undefeated and will claim the Division Nine title, sitting four points clear of Wyong after nine rounds. Wyong can secure Runners-Up ahead of Blacktown City with a win over Gosford.

Wyong v Gosford; Mount Druitt v Sutherland Shire; Liverpool City v Blacktown City

DIVISION TEN
The final round is set up to be a hot contest with first-place Penrith taking on second-place Fairfield City to determine who takes home the Division Ten title.  Two points and less than one per cent goal difference separate the two teams, while Inner Western Suburbs is just two points behind Fairfield City in third place.
