Netball NSW has been short-listed as a finalist in four categories of the 2013 NSW Sports Federation Sports Awards.
Netball NSW has been nominated alongside three other sporting organisations in the category of Organisation of the Year, while Frances Smith from Tamworth Netball Association has been recognised for her 45 years as a volunteer with a nomination in the Distinguished Long Service category.
The Netball NSW Marie Little OAM team is one of five finalists in the Team of the Year with a Disability category, while journalist Paul Haigh from Fairfax Media has been nominated alongside two other journalists for his extensive coverage of netball in media titles throughout the Western Suburbs of Sydney.
The 2013 Sports Awards Dinner will be held at Allphones Arena in Sydney Olympic Park on Thursday 28 November, with winners announced throughout the evening.
The Awards recognise the achievements of sporting bodies, teams and athletes across New South Wales and provides an opportunity to celebrate outstanding contributions to sport in 2013.
There are 13 categories in the 2013 awards program including athletes, teams, coaches, officials, organisations, events, media and Distinguished Long Service.
