Foundation Coaching Course now online

Aspiring netball coaches can now complete their Foundation Coach Accreditation from the comforts of home with the course available online through Netball Australia’s website.

The Foundation Coach Accreditation Course is a key part of Netball Australia’s continued investment in developing a strong grassroots netball community.

The Foundation Coach Accreditation Course is targeted at beginner coaches, teachers, parents and ANZ NetSetGO coaches.

It outlines introductory coaching information and basic netball techniques and is the first step in the national coaching accreditation framework.

It features video content from Australian Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander along with other coaches and athletes from all levels of netball.

For only $50, you can log on at a time that’s convenient to you and complete all of the modules to receive your certificate of completion and your Foundation Coach Accreditation.

Netball Australia’s Head of Community Strategy and Netball Development Anne-Marie Phippard is delighted to add another important resource to Netball Australia’s online library.

“With a lot of community netball seasons about to begin around Australia, it’s timely that we’re now bringing our Foundation Coach Accreditation Course online,” Phippard said.

“It will free up valuable time for volunteers at local clubs and associations to help mentor developing coaches.

“It also allows participants to learn at a time and place that suits them, day or night all-year round.”
