2014 has begun with a flurry of activity across NSW, with the coach development calendar jam-packed from February to August with development courses, workshops and opportunities available to all levels of coaches.
There are a number of Coach Accreditation Courses – from Foundation through to Intermediate –being held in all regions of the State, as well as non-Accreditation courses, such as the Connect Coaching workshop, scheduled to roll-out across regional areas.
Netball Australia’s Dare to Develop a Diamond program is back for another year, with sessions planned across NSW in both regional and metropolitan areas. This national curriculum now comes in two age brackets; 11-13 years age group adds physical competencies to the technical and tactical elements, while the newly introduced 14-16 years age bracket targets advanced physical and tactical competencies.
Coach Mentoring Programs will also be conducted across numerous programs throughout NSW, including Regional State League competitions, Umpires ‘C’ Camp, NIB Academy Games, and Regional Academies of Sport.
But that’s not all!
The NSW Swifts will be holding scheduled open training sessions with coaches invited to engage in an Elite coaching environment, as well as the popular ‘Insiders Series’ returning throughout the Swifts home games fixture – and don’t forget the upcoming Netball NSW Biennial Conference!
There’s that and so much more, so to ensure you stay up-to-date with all things ‘Coaching’ in 2014 then stay tuned to www.netballnsw.com.
