Coaches from across NSW had a chance to learn from some of the best in the business in Sydney Olympic Park last Saturday.
With the Australian Diamonds in town for their Constellation Cup Test with the New Zealand Silver Ferns at Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday, it provided Netball NSW with the opportunity to welcome 100 coaches (of intermediate accreditation and above) to a special session with Lisa Alexander.
Also in attendance were Diamonds specialist coaches Megan Anderson and Clare Ferguson, who gave great insight to how their world-class setup operates.
Netball NSW Coach Development Manager Jodi Rosenthal said it was a brilliant opportunity for everyone who attended.
“When the dates of the Constellation Cup came out we jumped at the chance to try and facilitate an opportunity to help our coaches,” she said.
“Netball Australia gave us the opportunity to observe a pre-match training session followed by a Q&A with Head Coach Lisa Alexander and her specialist coaches Megan and Clare.
“As an organisation we were thrilled to be able to offer this to our coaches that go above and beyond in their own communities.
“They are keen to continue educating themselves and we are committed to continue to their coaching development and training.”
