The Netball NSW Marie Little OAM Shield team trials take place this coming Sunday 7 May at the Genea Netball Centre, and Head Coach Jenny O’Keeffe is looking forward to seeing both familiar and new faces on the court this weekend.
O’Keeffe spoke with NetballNSWTV this week ahead of the selection trials, saying it’s been really pleasing to see the girls continue to enjoy and improve their netball skills.
“It would be really nice to see what we did last year coming through again this year,” O’Keeffe said.
“They’re there to challenge themselves, challenge each other, and hopefully come up with another wonderful team that’s going to do well for NSW.”
This year will see Northern Territory join the Marie Little OAM Shield Tournament for the first time, meaning six States will participate in the three-day round robin competition at Perth’s State Netball Centre from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 September.
“It’s good to see practically all the States and Territories represented. It’s a massive challenge for the girls to win a championship with everyone out there,” O’Keeffe said.
