Manly-Warringah coach Janene van Gogh was named the 2013 Margaret Corbett OAM DOOLEYS State League Coach of the Year at the annual State Dinner over the weekend.
Van Gogh was presented with the award by Corbett after steering her Manly-Warringah side to the DOOLEYS State League Division Two title this season. Van Gogh was also instrumental in assisting Manly-Warringah on a successful 2013 State Championships campaign, which saw the Association take honours in four Championship age-divisions; Opens, 19 and Under, 17 and Under and Over 40.
Speaking to NetballNSWTV on the night, van Gogh said she was surprised to even receive a nomination but was quick to thank those who have helped her.
“I’ve had a core group of girls who [have] fantastic work ethic and a great group of people around me. [As the saying goes] it takes a village to raise a child, but I think it’s an Association and that team of people around you that contribute to success like we’ve had this year,” van Gogh said.
Congratulations Janene van Gogh on being awarded the 2013 Margaret Corbett OAM DOOLEYS State League Coach of the Year.
