Wendy Archer AM has been involved with netball her whole life, playing as a 10-year-old in Cronulla, transitioning to umpiring and growing her knowledge in the broader Netball NSW (NNSW) organisation, to now having served as the NNSW President for more than a decade.
At the end of this month, Archer will step down from the role she has held since 2003, making her the second longest serving President behind legendary Anne Clark BEM (1950-79). However, before this happens NetballNSWTV caught up with Archer to reflect upon all that has happened during this period of great change and development.
This is the first of a three-part series with Wendy Archer AM discussing the pathways that have been developed across the organisation and how no matter your aspirations through mateship, teamwork and passion you will find kindred spirits in netball.
