The DOOLEYS Metro League is back and stronger than ever in 2018 with teams from all over the Metro region of NSW hitting the courts at the Genea Netball Centre, Sydney Olympic Park.
As per previous seasons, 60 teams – divided into six divisions of 10 – will contest the competition. It will be held across three nights with teams contesting 18 rounds and the best going on to play Finals.
Metro League is one of the premier netball competitions in New South Wales, offering week in and out competition for some of the state’s most talented – and up and coming – netballers, coaches, umpires and administrators.
Divisions 3 & 4 are in action on Monday nights, with Divisions 5 & 6 hitting the courts on Tuesdays, and Divisions 1 & 2 rounding things out on Thursdays.
“You really know the netball season is well and truly up and running when the DOOLEYS Metro League has started,” Claire Dale, Competitions Manager at Netball NSW, said.
“We are only a few weeks into competition but already we have seen some fantastic action on court and there is some real talent out there waiting to be spotted.
“Last year was another fantastic success for the Metro League competition. A real sign of how important it is, is how popular it continues to be.
“I would like to thank DOOLEYS for their continued support of the competition, their contribution is immense.”
