And just like that, the DOOLEYS Metro League 2019 season is all wrapped up!
Last night the final two Grand Finals took place, with two winning teams getting gold medals – Northern Suburbs in Division 1 and Ku-ring-gai in Division 2.
The Grand Finals took place last night at Netball Central on Thursday 19 September and the final scores were tight.
The first game was Division 2 with Ku-ring-gai and Blacktown and there wasn’t much between the scores by half time. The third quarter showed Ku-ring-gai pulling ahead by a few but Blacktown retaliated in the final term. It wasn’t enough for them to come out on top though, with Ku-ring-gai taking the win 47-44
Next up was Northern Suburbs and Manly Warringah in Division 1. Northern Suburbs flew out of the gates in the opening term, outscoring Manly by 7 goals. They bounced back though to win the final two quarters but the damage was already done, with Northern Suburbs claiming the win by four goals, 52-48.
