DOOLEYS Metro League Div 5 & 6 winners crowned

The next lot of DOOLEYS Metro League Grand Finals have taken place, with Bankstown City winning the trophy in Division 5 and Penrith District coming out victors in Division 6.

Both games took place last night at Netball Central on Tuesday 17 September and while there may have been a larger gap in the final scores, it didn’t make the matches any less exciting.

The first game was Division 6, with Penrith District having an outstanding second quarter against Central Coast, keeping their opponents to just four goals. Despite a better performance by Central Coast in the second half, the damage was already done, with Penrith winning by eight goals, 46-34.

Next up was Bankstown City and Hills District in Division 5, with Bankstown controlling the game from start to finish to end the game with an eight-goal lead, 45-37.

Thursday night will see Northern Suburbs up against Manly-Warringah in Division 1 and Ku-ring-gai taking on Blacktown City in Division 2.
