The 2015 DOOLEYS State League competition is officially underway in its new home of Netball Central; Netball NSW’s brand new $35 million centre of excellence in Sydney Olympic Park.
Division 6 had the honour of being the first to get underway in the new headquarters, with Parramatta Auburn, Newcastle, Liverpool City, Campbelltown and 2015 newcomers Kurri Kurri Hunter Flyers all posting wins to kick start the season.
NetballNSWTV was there to capture the historic first moments – from spectators arriving at Netball Central for the first time, to the first whistles sounding the beginning of a new era in DOOLEYS State League history. Watch the highlights below;
Waratah Cup and Division 2 will begin their 2015 campaigns tonight from 7pm, while Divisions 7 and 8 concluded Round 1 last night. Division 3 and 4 will begin their seasons next Thursday 19 February – check out the DOOLEYS State League page for fixtures and results to all eight divisions.
