Pre-Season action at ACC

Season 2014 at the Anne Clark Centre starts this Wednesday 12 February with the return of the Netball NSW Invitational Pre-Season competition.

Played over three weeks, the invitational competition won’t showcase the traditional game – it incorporates elements of the modified FastNet and Fast5 formats of the game, ensuring fast, fresh, and fun netball!

With six-minute quarters, Power Plays, and one, two and three-point goal shooting areas, it’s a fun way for the competing teams to have a run on court before the season proper.

Six teams will take the court over the next three Wednesday evenings in the lead-up to the 2014 DOOLEYS State League season, with the NSW 21/U Team also contesting as part of their National Netball Championship preparations.

First up for the NSW 21/U side will be Eastwood Ryde and Sutherland Shire this week, with DOOLEYS State League Waratah Cup sides Baulkham Hills, Manly-Warringah and St George also participating in the invitational competition in 2014.

Netball fans can head to the Anne Clark Centre to catch the action from 7pm, with eight games played across the night.
