In 2018, Netball NSW launched the Inclusive Community Grants program. With the introduction of the Active Kids Rebate, it is felt that supporting Associations with the delivery of inclusion programs is essential. Netball NSW wishes to support and encourage Affiliated Associations and Clubs to develop closer links with community groups and drive the engagement of new members.
Netball Associations affiliated with Netball NSW in 2021 and Netball Clubs whom are affiliated with a Netball NSW Affiliated Association in 2021 can apply for a grant of up to $1,000.00 to deliver projects to engage diverse communities.
The Inclusive Community Grants will address barriers to participation in netball of underrepresented groups, including:
1. Socioeconomic disadvantaged communities;
2. Indigenous Australians;
3. Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities;
4. LGBTIQA people and communities;
5. Geographically isolated communities; and
6. Persons with disabilities
