Netball NSW is pleased to announce the four 2019 Suncorp NetSetGO Ambassadors from NSW, with two GIANTS Netball players and two NSW Swifts being named as Ambassadors for the program.
The two GIANTS Netball players who will act as Ambassadors for the program are star defenders Kristiana Manu’a and Sam Poolman, both products of the Netball NSW pathways themselves and passionate advocates for growing and developing talent in the state. Meanwhile, Swifts Maddy Proud and Maddy Turner have also signed on to return as Ambassadors, continuing their commitment from last year. The four players will be visiting Clubs and Associations in 2019 to help promote and encourage participation in the Suncorp NetSetGo program through registered centres across the state.
Suncorp NetSetGO is Netball Australia’s only junior entry netball program. It provides children (boys and girls) from 5 to 10 years with a positive introduction to netball, incorporating skill activities, minor games, music, dance and modified matches.
The NetSetGO program focuses on teaching fundamental movement skills and building overall motor skills. The program is delivered in a fun and safe environment and is coordinated by accredited coaches to ensure all participants have a quality experience.
Associations and Clubs have the opportunity to win a visit from the Ambassadors at various points during the year, where the players will assist with skills sessions and meet with young NetSetGos during photograph and autograph sessions. Winners will be selected from entrants who participate in the 2019 run by Netball NSW. There is also an opportunity for Associations/Clubs to win the opportunity to play NetSetGO at half-time of a Suncorp Super Netball game in NSW.
To enter, Associations and Clubs can enter by posting three (3) photos that represent their Association/Clubs favourite Suncorp NetSetGO values to Facebook and/or Instagram using #NSWNetSetGo. For further details visit.
