INTRODUCING NETBALL NSW PREMIER LEAGUENetball NSW announced last Wednesday (8 July) the introduction of the Netball NSW Premier League (NNSWPL) which will commence in 2016.

The NNSWPL is a new competition to attract the best current and emerging talent within NSW. Its purpose is to offer a local, elite platform for players, coaches, officials and administrators, and provide bridging opportunities in to the Australian Netball League (ANL) and subsequent ANZ Championship.

The 2015 Oceania Netball Cup is a fun and relaxed carnival with the emphasis on having a good time with friends and enjoying netball on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September.

Registrations now open for teams in three age groups: U/13, U/15 and U/18. Netball NSW is also excited to announce NSW Swifts co-Vice Captain Abbey McCulloch will be attending both days as this year’s special guest!

DOOLEYS STATE LEAGUE FINALSThe 2015 DOOLEYS State League Finals are underway, with teams battling out the Preliminary Finals this week at Netball Central, fighting for the last spot in next week’s Grand Finals.

The 2015 nib Festival of Sport came to a close on Saturday 11 July following a week-long tournament featuring some of the best and brightest young athletes from across New South Wales.

Sydney Netball Academy (Div 1) and Central Coast Academy of Sport (Div 2) were crowned 2015 Champions of the Greater Netball Tournament, whilst Lucinda Dryden (SNA) and Nikita Jackson (Hunter Academy of Sport) were awarded Most Valuable Players for Division 1 and Division 2, respectively.

NSW TRIUMPH OVER CANBERRA IN ANLThe Netball NSW (NNSW) Waratahs have triumphed over a tenacious Canberra Darters to finish 60-48 victors at Netball Central, in what could be the side’s final appearance of the 2015 Australian Netball League (ANL).
