Netball NSW has confirmed the players who will represent NSW at the 2015 17/U and 19/U National Championships, to be hosted at Netball Central from Tuesday 14 to Sunday 19 April.

The 2015 winter netball season is fast approaching, with Clubs and Associations across New South Wales now taking registrations.

Whether playing to meet new people, to have fun with friends, wanting to improve fitness and wellbeing, or for the competitive aspect of sport, netball Clubs and Associations throughout NSW have a range of options to suit all needs. The bond with teammates is a big reason a lot of the NSW Swifts love playing netball.

CROSS CONFIRMED AS SWIFTS APPRENTICE COACHNetball NSW is pleased to confirm Amber Cross has been appointed as Apprentice Coach to the NSW Swifts for the 2015 ANZ Championship.

An initiative introduced for the 2014 season, Cross will be given unique insight into the planning, preparation, competition and review phases during her season-long apprenticeship under the guidance of Head Coach Rob Wright.

Get in quick for your chance to see the world’s best netballers in our own backyard when Netball NSW hosts the 2015 ANZ Championship Official Pre-Season Summer Shootout from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 February at Netball Central.

Last Friday morning (30 January) Netball NSW announced three of the four sessions were officially SOLD OUT, there are a limited number remaining for Session 1 this Friday night, (6 February) when the Swifts take on the Northern Mystics (with another four matches also taking place)!

LOTS TO SEE AND DO AT THE SWIFTS FAMILY FUN DAY THIS SUNDAYThe FREE NSW Swifts Family Fun Day kicks off at 11am this Sunday 8 February and is open to all supporters, with FREE ENTRY to see the Swifts take on last year’s Champions the Melbourne Vixens at 2pm.

Before the teams hit the courts, meet the players, get your face painted, pet the animals at the Taronga Zoomobile (made possible thanks to Swifts’ Premier Partner QBE) test out your netball skills and learn new drills, get your portrait done by a cartoonist and so much more!

2015 NETBALL NSW SCHOOLS CUP ENTRIES NOW OPENThe Netball NSW Schools Cup is an initiative by Netball NSW to provide New South Wales primary and secondary school students in Years Five, Six, Seven and Eight with the opportunity to enjoy netball in a fun and safe environment.

Entries are now open for the 2015 event! On the Netball NSW Schools Cup page you can find a Local Day in your region, when the first round of competition begins.

  DOOLEYS STATE LEAGUE SET FOR NETBALL CENTRAL DEBUTFollowing last week’s announcement DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club has extended its long-running partnership with Netball NSW for a further two years, the 2015 DOOLEYS State League opens next Monday night (9 February) at Netball Central with Divisions Five and Six the first to step onto the new courts.


Young netballers from across New South Wales came together at Netball Central in January to learn from some of their favourite NSW Swifts at the ‘Train Like a Swift’ clinics. Stay tuned to for more clinics in 2015.
