Long established NSW based electrical retailer Bing Lee today announced a new major partnership with Netball NSW, including the organisation’s two elite Clubs – the NSW Swifts and 2017 newcomers GIANTS Netball – over the next four years.
Netball NSW CEO Carolyn Campbell said the organisation was thrilled to team up with such a well renowned, local family business, with the partnership helping to grow and develop netball across NSW – from grassroots through to the elite level of the game.
“Netball NSW is delighted to announce our partnership with Bing Lee; a significant partnership that includes both of our Suncorp Super Netball teams, the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball,” Campbell said.
“Bing Lee’s story is one of hard work, dedication and resilience – qualities that Netball NSW prides itself on. They’re also a family-owned business, and that sense of family is something we can easily identify with.
“We are embarking on a significant new chapter in Australian netball history, and I’m excited that Bing Lee have shown their support and dedication to netball in NSW.”
Bing Lee CEO Lionel Lee echoed his counterpart’s excitement on the partnership, saying it was a great fit for the family orientated business.
“2017 marks an exciting year for both Bing Lee and Netball NSW, and as a family owned business we’re thrilled to join the NSW netball family,” Lee said.
“While netball welcomes a new competition, Suncorp Super Netball, next year also marks Bing Lee’s 60th anniversary. From our humble beginnings in the late 1950s, through to today, we have been committed to Sydney families and we’re looking forward to continuing that with Netball NSW over the next four years.
“As the official electrical retailer for Netball NSW, the Swifts and GIANTS, Bing Lee is excited about the prospect of connecting with and supporting grassroots and junior netball across the State.”
Chinese immigrants Bing Lee and his son, Ken, founded Bing Lee in 1957 in western Sydney. Over the decades, Bing Lee has expanded operations throughout Sydney and regional NSW to 38 stores which sees the company employ more than 800 people.
Bing Lee stocks and sells all the best quality household electrical brands across a broad range of categories from TV to cooking, refrigeration to laundry, small appliances, computers, and mobile phones.
