The NSW Swifts are looking for individuals for a number of roles who have the ability to work as part of a small and hardworking team alongside like-minded dedicated staff and volunteers.
All six NSW Swifts home games in 2013 will be played at Sydney Olympic Park – view the full fixture including venues.
Before joining the organisation in 2011, Netball NSW Junior Development Coordinator Amy Quirk volunteered as an Event Assistant because she loved netball and wanted to build a career in sport.
“I was studying Sports Management at the time so volunteering was a great opportunity to see what I had been learning put into action – see the behind-the-scenes of a professional team,” Quirk said.
The experience gave Quirk an insight into the sporting industry and reinforced the idea that she wanted to work for a State Sports Organisation upon finishing her studies.
“When the opportunity came up to apply for a role working with Netball NSW I knew that working in sport is what I really wanted.
“Volunteering and having the chance to be part of the Swifts family really made it clear for me what I wanted to do in my career…I recommend that experience to anyone who is passionate about working in sport…or simply loves the Swifts!”
Volunteers will receive a uniform (specific to their role), a gift from the NSW Swifts and opportunity to work alongside like-minded and dedicated staff and volunteers.
