In SwiftsHQ we bring you the week that was for the NSW Swifts…
WHAT THEY SAID
It was a gutsy second half performance that saw the NSW Swifts defeat the West Coast Fever, 58-47, at Perth Arena last Monday evening, stretching their winning run to three consecutive games.
It was a game of two halves with the Fever impressing their home crowd in the first, stretching out their lead to nine goals before the Swifts pulled it back to trail by five at half-time. However it was all the Swifts in the second half, outscoring their opposition 34 goals to 16 to claim honours.

An exhausted Sarah Wall summed it up succinctly at the end of the game: “The Fever did not stop on their drives, which is credit to them. But I thought our attack end was amazing; it didn’t matter what they threw at us we adapted which is really positive.”

SEE YOU AT THE BLOCKBUSTER!
After two games on the road, the Swifts are back home in front of Members and Fans and just in time for the big one … the Allphones Arena BLOCKBUSTER!
The Swifts will take the court on Sunday 18 May against the defending Champions, the Adelaide Thunderbirds, with the two sides enjoying a fierce battle of late with the last three games decided by three goals or less.
NSWSwiftsTV caught up with Assistant Coach Megan Anderson who said the Swifts were cautious of the Thunderbirds who, despite looking likely to miss this year’s Finals Series, always offer a potent contest.
“They’re a quality side and it’s going to be a really tough game for us … in Round 3 we only lost by one [goal] to the Thunderbirds so [we’re] looking for a big performance and coming into Finals time it’s a really important game for us.”
