Mkoloma puts IAS athletes through their paces
NSW Swifts defender Sonia Mkoloma recently visited the Illawarra Academy of Sport (IAS) to assist in a training session with the netball squad.
The experienced defender put the 22-athlete squad through their paces, taking them through drills and activities, as well as passing on her knowledge from her decade-long career at the elite level.
IAS Athletes and Program Development Manager Shannon Fraser said it was a fantastic experience for the young athletes to learn from one of the best in the game.
“Sonia was fantastic; the girls and coaches really enjoyed her visit and learnt a lot from the sessions she facilitated,” Fraser said.
