Samsung Premier League back for 2017

Excitement continues to build in the NSW netball community with the return of the Samsung Premier League this Wednesday 24 May at Genea Netball Centre.

Following on from its successful debut season in 2016, Netball NSW’s elite domestic competition will again see the return of eight franchises who will contest two age groups – Opens and Under 20s – with Round 1 getting underway this week.

Reigning Champions Sutherland Stingrays (Opens) and Panthers (Under 20s) will be joined by Manly Warringah Sapphires, GWS Fury, UTS St George Sparks, ERNA Hawks, North Shore United and Central Coast Heart for the 14-round regular season, which will be followed by a three-week Finals Series.

And in further good news for the NSW netball community, BarTV Sports will return to provide live streaming of not one, but two Premier League matches each week! Fans at home need not miss a minute of the action with live streaming available of both the Show Court and Court 1-hosted games – that’s four live games via your laptop or smartphone device.

Kicking things off will be North Shore and Central Coast on the Show Court, with their Under 20s sides going head-to-head at 7pm, followed by the Opens teams at 8:40pm. ABC Grandstand’s Brittany Carter will again be at the helm of the microphone, providing expert commentary for fans at home.

On Court 1 will be the Stingrays and Sparks, which will also be live streamed, while on Court 2 we’ll see Sapphires up against Fury, with the Hawks and Panthers taking to Court 3.

As always, there’s nothing better than watching the action live in venue and Netball NSW once again is offering Season Passes for Fans keen to come out and cheer from the stands. For those who can’t commit week-to-week, nightly passes are also available from $5 per person – CHECK OUT FULL PRICES HERE.

For those joining us at Genea Netball Centre this Wednesday evening, the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct is expected to be very busy with the Sydney City v Liverpool City invitational football match happening at ANZ Stadium. Therefore Netball NSW is encouraging all our guests to allow plenty of time for arrival.

Three-hour validated parking is available (players and team staff only) in both P3 and P4 Parking Stations, however, note if patrons remain any longer than the allocated time (even by a minute) you will be expected to pay a $25 flat parking fee.
