Regional State League ramps up

The race for three Regional State League crowns heats up this weekend with Hunter Regional State League getting underway, Day Two of GrainCorp Regional State League – Riverina, plus the South Coast champions will be decided!

The 2014 South Coast Regional State League champions will be crowned this weekend at the Netball ACT Centre.  Goulburn, Queanbeyan and Sapphire Coast  will battle for the Division One title over three rounds on Saturday 15 March, followed by finals on Sunday 16 March.

Division Two will be contested by Barellan, Eurobodalla, Queanbeyan, Sapphire Coast, Southern Highlands and Ulladulla. The six teams will compete in a round-robin style over five rounds across Saturday and Sunday, with the ladder positions at the end of the final round determining which teams will play-off for the crown on Sunday afternoon.

GrainCorp Regional State League – Riverina will be hitting the courts this Sunday with Day Two action in Wagga Wagga. Read all the action from Day One of the competition.

The teams have had another month of training under their belts after Day One was contested on Sunday 16 February in Temora, with the two teams from Wagga Wagga (Wagga Wagga Opens and 17s) at the top of the ladder followed by Young 21s, Griffith 17s, Young 17s and Temora 17s.

Four rounds will be contested on Sunday with the results determining which teams will contest the finals on Sunday 30 March at Narrandera.

Hunter Regional State League will once again be contested across seven divisions in 2014 with all the action kicking off in Charlestown on Sunday.

Over 500 players will run out for 43 teams across the divisions, with 60 umpires overseeing all the action!

Teams from Cessnock, Charlestown, Dungong, Hastings Valley, Kurri Kurri, Maitland, Muswellbrook, Nelson Bay, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Scone, Singleton, Westlakes and Woy Woy will play round robin matches over three days of competition (Sunday 16, 23 and 30 March) ahead of finals on Sunday 6 April in Port Stephens.
