As we quickly approach the end of another season, netballnsw.com is asking some of those in our netball community to share their favourite netball moments from 2013.
Today netballnsw.com catches up with Netball NSW Board Executive Carol Murphy who shares one of her favourite moments from this year.
What is Carol Murphy’s netball moment of 2013?
“When I look back on this season, one event that really stood out for me was coming to the Anne Clark Centre for the State Final of the Netball NSW Schools Cup.
“It was a really exciting day and reminded me why I love being involved in netball. I was looking around the courts at all the young players who had travelled from all over New South Wales, from all walks of life, to play the game that we love.
“Schools Cup was a new initiative for Netball NSW in 2013 and to see it come together, and to have such a positive reaction from the community, was really terrific.
“It was also so heart-warming to hear some of the stories of how teams had made the journey to Sydney for the Final – some taking buses and trains together as a group – that just created a really great atmosphere for the day. Plus it was a lot of fun!
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the Schools Cup competition growing with more schools and more players getting involved in 2014.”
