Netball NSW is delighted to once again partner with SEDA College NSW to develop our unique HSC Program.
Netball is all about engaging with community and the Netball NSW HSC Program is a wonderful way for young people with a passion for sport to hone their abilities in that area.
SEDA College is an independent, co-educational Year 11-12 School which aims to change students’ lives by developing real skills and preparing them for a successful future.
Through the Netball NSW HSC Program, SEDA College students will have the opportunity to be immersed in the netball industry and learn the key skills required to work in sport.
SEDA’s education model is unique, with four key areas that define it:
- An individual approach for each student through the ‘one teacher’ to ‘one class’ structure
- Learning directly from industry experts
- Getting outside of the classroom and learning by doing
- Placing equal importance on the development of key skills and personal attributes and academic outcomes
“We bring out the best in students through our applied learning approach and by focusing on their passion for sport,” Kate O’Donnell, Principal of SEDA Collage, says.
Current SEDA College student Taylah Kiss is taking full advantage of the opportunities available as part of the Netball NSW HSC Program.
She recently volunteered at the 2017 SAMSUNG State Age Championships in Penrith and worked alongside Netball NSW staff at the event.
She shares her experiences in this video:
