Are you a primary or high school teacher? Interested in getting involved in netball?
Netball Australia has recently announced a new NetSetGo! Schools Ambassador Program to take netball into primary schools around the country.
This national program for primary schools runs alongside the Netball NSW High School Ambassador Program, which aims to create a positive and valuable relationship between Netball NSW and the teachers in the NSW education system.
School communities via registered Teacher Ambassadors will have access to all relevant netball programs and information – such as participation programs, coach and officiating courses and events.
The recently launched NetSetGO! Schools Ambassador Program is a national program that will ensure netball has a continuous presence in primary school classrooms and playgrounds.
The free program will see registered NetSetGO! Primary School Ambassadors receive a polo shirt, a suite of lesson plans, regular communication on upcoming state and national events, on-going assistance from Netball NSW and the ‘I Want to be a Netballer’ interactive whiteboard education resource.
Co-written by Netball NSW legend Liz Ellis and Sally Carbon, ‘I Want to be a Netballer’ is a fictional story about a young player that features fully integrated activities that cover the eight key learning areas, as identified by the national curriculum.
As a NetSetGO! Schools Ambassador you will have access to:
- Interactive Whiteboard/SMART Board product – I Want to be a Netballer
- NetSetGO! Schools Ambassador Polo Shirt
- 6 x Lesson Plans
- Information on how to access further resources in Netball NSW
